Everything You Need to Know
Can I book a single room, or is the château exclusive-use only?
It depends on the season. Through the summer months, Château Destinée becomes a private home for celebrations - weddings, private parties and corporate retreats - so individual room bookings are rarely available. From autumn onwards, we reopen the château for individual room and suite bookings, so you can stay with us without hiring the whole property. Contact us with your dates and we'll let you know what's available.
Is there a minimum stay?
For individual room and suite bookings, our minimum stay is just one night - perfect for a short escape or a longer retreat.
How many guests can stay overnight?
We sleep up to 60 guests across 26 ensuite accommodations - 21 bedrooms and 5 apartments - ranging from the panoramic Penthouse to intimate suites and private self-catering apartments.
What's the difference between the rooms, suites and apartments?
Every accommodation is ensuite. Our suites and the Penthouse offer beautifully appointed bedrooms, while our apartments are more spacious and self-contained, with their own fitted kitchen and living area - ideal for families, longer stays or guests who value independence.
Is breakfast included?
Yes, breakfast is included with your stay. Many of our apartments also have fully equipped kitchens, giving you the flexibility to self-cater whenever you prefer.
What are your check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is by 11am. We never overlap group arrivals and departures to ensure a seamless experience for all guests.
Where is Château Destinée located?
We’re situated on the Dordogne River, just 22km from Saint-Émilion, one hour from Bordeaux, and 45 minutes from Bergerac airport. Our 17th-century château sits on a private 3-hectare park, offering a peaceful riverside retreat in the heart of wine country.
Can we use the pool and the grounds?
Yes. Guests can enjoy our 14-metre swimming pool and three hectares of private riverside parkland.
Is the château wheelchair accessible?
Yes! We have a wheelchair lift, a dedicated disabled bedroom with ensuite facilities, and a disabled public toilet. We’re fully accessible and happy to accommodate any special needs - just let us know in advance.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, we’re pet-friendly! Dogs are welcome by arrangement. Please contact us in advance to discuss your furry friend’s stay. We do limit the number of dogs we can host to 3.
Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, we have Wi-Fi throughout the property.
