Booking & Cancellation Policy
Welcome to Château Destinée
Thank you for choosing to stay with us. We look forward to welcoming you to Château Destinée and doing everything we can to make your stay a memorable one.
By completing a booking with us, you agree to the following Booking & Cancellation Policy. Payment of the room fee confirms your acceptance of these terms on behalf of yourself and all members of your party.
Château Destinée is operated by SARL Château Destinée, a registered French company. Throughout these conditions, references to "Château Destinée", "Destinée" or "the Company" refer to SARL Château Destinée. "You" and "your" refer to the person making the booking and all guests included in the reservation. Nothing in these conditions affects your statutory rights.
Your Booking
All bookings are subject to availability. Your booking is made as a private consumer and not for any business purpose. The Company cannot accept liability for any business-related costs, losses or claims, however these arise.
Pricing
Prices shown on our website and in any materials are correct at the time of publication. While we take every care to ensure accuracy, occasional errors may occur. The room price covers accommodation only. Unless clearly stated in your booking confirmation, additional services such as meals and beverages are charged separately. All prices include applicable taxes.
Payment
All bookings are considered provisional until full payment has been received. Payments can be made securely online via the booking link on our website, or by bank transfer. Once payment is received, we will send you an email confirmation - this is the point at which your contract with the Company is formed.
Please check your confirmation carefully when you receive it. If anything is incorrect, please notify us within 48 hours.
If a payment is not honoured for any reason, an administration charge of €25 may apply.
Cancellation of Your Booking
Your cancellation is effective from the date we receive your written notification.
Individual room bookings are fully refundable if cancelled more than 7 days before your arrival date. Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival are non-refundable.
For cancellations due to travel restrictions or proven illness, or in the event of a pandemic, we remain flexible and will handle each situation on a case-by-case basis. Please note that if cancellation is within 24 hours of arrival, a preparation fee may apply.
We strongly recommend arranging adequate travel and cancellation insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances. All bookings are non-transferable unless agreed in writing by the Company in advance.
Unforeseen Circumstances
The Company reserves the right to cancel a booking in the event of circumstances beyond its reasonable control - including but not limited to fire, flood, structural damage, significant utility failure, or other events that prevent us from fulfilling our obligations. In such cases, we will make every reasonable effort to assist you in securing alternative accommodation.
Force Majeure
The Company shall not be liable for any cancellations, changes, or failure to perform its obligations resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control. This includes - but is not limited to - fire, flood, extreme weather, epidemics, pandemics, or damage to the property by causes other than the Company's own negligence. No compensation, costs or alternative accommodation expenses will be payable by the Company in such circumstances.
Damages & Personal Belongings
Guests are asked to treat the Château, its grounds, furnishings and facilities with care and respect during their stay.
The client is responsible for any damage caused to the property - including rooms, bathrooms, furnishings, outbuildings and the pool area - by themselves or members of their party. The cost of any such damage may be charged accordingly.
Personal belongings brought onto the property remain the responsibility of the guest. Château Destinée cannot accept liability for any loss, theft or damage to personal items.
In the event that a guest is asked to leave the property - including for behavioural reasons - this will be treated as a cancellation by the guest. No refund will be issued and the Company will have no further liability in that situation.
Your Room & The Château
Your room will be ready from 3:00 PM on your arrival date. On your departure day, please vacate your room by 11:00 AM. Room keys must be returned upon checkout. A lost key charge of €50 may be applied if keys are not returned.
The number of guests occupying a room must not exceed the number agreed at the time of booking, unless written authorisation has been given by the Company in advance.
Cleaning & Room Service
Your room is fully prepared and cleaned prior to your arrival. Daily cleaning and room service are not included in the room rate during your stay. If you would like a full room service during your stay, this can be arranged in advance for an additional charge of €55.
The Pool
Château Destinée has a private pool measuring 14m x 5m. The pool is not supervised by a lifeguard and is not enclosed by fencing, though a night cover is in place. All safety responsibilities rest with the guest. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. The pool is open seasonally - please confirm availability at the time of booking.
No Smoking
Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere inside the Château or the barn. A fine of €200 will apply if this policy is not observed. Guests are welcome to smoke or vape outside, and an ashtray can be provided on request.
Pets
Well-behaved pets are welcome at Château Destinée with prior notification. A fee of €10 per day applies. Pets must be kept under control at all times and must not be left unattended in rooms.
Parking
On-site parking is available for all guests within the château grounds. Please park in the designated areas and avoid driving on the lawned park.
Complaints
We genuinely want you to have a wonderful stay. If something isn't right, please let us know as soon as possible so we can address it promptly. A representative of the Company is always on hand to help.
Full or Half Château Rental
For full or half château rental bookings, separate payment terms and specific booking conditions apply. These are available upon enquiry.
Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update this policy at any time. The current version will always be available on our website.
