Riverview Suites at Château Destinée
These three rooms look directly over the Dordogne River, and our vision was to transform them into true suites. Each one features stunning floor-to-ceiling windows that swivel open, flooding the rooms with light and framing the beautiful river views.
Every suite includes a king-size bed, a sofa, an ensuite bathroom, and tea and coffee facilities - generous, comfortable spaces designed for relaxing between sightseeing, celebrations, or quiet moments at the château.
Holes, hooks and shower curtains
When we first arrived, however, the rooms needed serious attention. There were holes in the walls, rustic hanging spaces, and dark, tired bathrooms with shower curtains and outdated fittings.

Light without losing character
Our goal was to bring light into the rooms without losing their character. We chose wallpaper with a subtle hint of pink in a large rose pattern, accented with touches of gold that catch the sunlight. The soft beige tones reflect warmth and create a cosy atmosphere, especially in winter, while complementing the curved architecture of the rooms.
