Shared Kitchen at Château Destinée
The kitchen is the heart of any home, and at the château it is no different. Even with a beautiful entrance hall and elegant reception rooms, it is in the kitchen that guests naturally gather, connect, and share moments.

From dining room to kitchen
When we first arrived, this room was being used as a dining room. With the reception rooms and the Orangerie now serving as formal dining spaces, it made sense to return this generous room to its true purpose: a kitchen.
Loved by small parties and large groups
Today, it is a space loved by all. Guests appreciate it whether they arrive as a small party or a large group. It is somewhere to make tea or coffee, store snacks, prepare drinks, or cook a meal - all the small, practical things that help a stay feel like home. For those staying longer, the kitchen is especially valued for cooking proper meals or feeding children, adding both comfort and convenience.
Original features, modern comforts
The room balances character and practicality beautifully. Original features remain, while modern necessities such as stainless steel ovens, fridges, and dishwashers have been thoughtfully integrated. Copper piping runs discreetly along the ceiling to carry electricity, and the granite countertop on the central island has become a natural gathering place, whether for preparing cocktails, sharing a snack, or cooking together.
It is one of those spaces that quietly brings people together, making the château feel not only elegant, but lived in and welcoming too.
